On September 19 – 20, 2023, an important meeting was held in the medical field

Delegation from SK-Pharmacy LLP together with the Chinese Chamber of Commerce on import and export of medicines visited Nazarbayev University School of Medicine (NUMS) and its centers.
During the bilateral meeting the Dean of the school Massimo Pignatelli made a welcoming speech and outlined the main ways of prospective cooperation of research and development (R&D), SHMNU together with the Chinese Chamber of Commerce.
Together with professors and students of Nazarbayev University School of Medicine, they discussed the main ways of development of medical science and R&D cooperation between Kazakhstan and China.
The delegation was further introduced to various innovative developments in cardiology and anesthesiology presented at the National Scientific Cardiac Surgery Center. They also held discussions on the important prospects of contract manufacturing and distribution of pharmaceutical products in cooperation with JSC “National Holding “QazBioPharm”. Further, the Chinese Chamber participated in the forum between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the People’s Republic of China on strengthening coordination and business cooperation in the field of pharmaceuticals.
During the forum with a welcoming speech made by General Director of the Holding Yergali Abduraimov.
The participants discussed prospects for cooperation, shared details of the local pharmaceutical market and current trends. Large Chinese companies, including Qilu Pharmaceutical and Sinopharm, presented the main directions of their activities and prospects of cooperation with Kazakhstani manufacturers.
