On Establishment of Joint Stock Company “National Holding “QazBioPharm”

In accordance with the Regulations for the provision of conclusions of the National Scientific and Production Enterprise “Atameken” on the establishment of legal entities with state participation for the purpose of public discussion, a request for the establishment of a joint stock company “National Holding “QazBioPharm” is placed for public discussion

Pursuant to the order of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan № 21-2536 from June 14, 2021, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan (hereinafter – the Ministry) plans to create JSC “National Holding “QazBioPharm”, which will include the existing republican state enterprises on the right of economic management “Research Institute of Biological Safety Problems” (NIIPBB), “National Center of Biotechnology” (NCB), “Republican Collection of Microorganisms” (RCM) after their transformation into limited partnerships.

Scope of activities: throughout the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan exercises the rights of ownership and use of the state block of shares of QazBioPharm Holding JSC and is the Sole Shareholder of QazBioPharm Holding JSC, represents the interests of the state as a shareholder on issues within the competence of the general meeting of shareholders in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The enterprise plans to carry out the following activities:

– Activity of holding companies (OKED 64200);

– Manufacture of pharmaceutical preparations (21201);

– Wholesale realization of pharmaceutical and medical goods within the guaranteed volume of free medical care, (46462);

– Manufacture of medicinal preparations for veterinary medicine (21202);

– Scientific research and experimental development in the field of biotechnology (72110);

– Research and development in the field of anti-infective drugs (72195).
