«QazBioPharm» biopharmaceutical holding company established

Within the framework of fulfillment of the Head of State’s instruction on systemic measures to ensure biological security of the country, the following measures were taken. Decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On issues of establishment of joint stock company «National Holding «QazBioPharm»:

– State registration of JSC «National Holding «QazBioPharm» in NAO «Government for Citizens» was carried out;

– State registration of the issue of authorized shares of JSC «National Holding «QazBioPharm» in the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for regulation and development of the financial market;

– To ensure the activities of the holding allocated funds from the national budget for 2022 in the amount of 380 million tenge.

Earlier, the President of Kazakhstan Kasym-Jomart Tokayev signed the Law «On Biological Security of the Republic of Kazakhstan».

The main purpose of the bill is the identification, prevention and prevention of biological threats.

The bill highlights the main biological threats. According to the document, it was planned to create an authorized body to ensure interagency cooperation and consistency of actions of government agencies, collection and analysis of information from different areas to develop measures to prevent biothreats.
