A new Master’s degree program “Biological Safety” was opened

In order to train highly qualified specialists in the field of biosafety, in July 2023 JSC “National Holding “QazBioPharm” concluded agreements with the leading medical universities of the country – NAO “Kazakh National Medical University named after S. D. Asfendiyarov”, NAO “Medical University “Astana”, NAO “Medical University Semey” and NAO “West-Kazakhstan Medical University named after Marat Ospanov”.
Within the framework of cooperation a new educational program of Master’s degree in the specialty “Biological safety” was developed. The purpose of this educational program is to train managers and specialists of a new generation, capable of comprehensively solving the problems of biological safety in the field of sanitary and epidemiological welfare of the population at various biohazardous objects.
Under this program from October 25 to November 10, 2023 NJSC “Medical University of Astana” conducts admission of persons who have mastered the educational programs of higher professional education: “General Medicine”, “Public Health”, “Pharmacy”, “Medical and Preventive Science”, “Medical and Biological Science”, “Biotechnology”, “Biology”, “Ecology”, “Standardization, Certification”, “Chemistry”, “Chemical Technology of Organic Substances”, “Chemical Technology of Inorganic Substances”, “Veterinary Medicine”.
Applications for admission to the Master’s program are accepted by the Admissions Committee of Astana Medical University (AMU) and through the information system of the National Testing Center on a competitive basis based on the results of comprehensive testing.
A flexible training schedule is provided – full-time distance (online) training with a partial break from production. During training, internships are organized on the basis of the Holding Company and its subsidiaries within the framework of a memorandum of cooperation. Training is conducted on a paid basis, the cost of training according to the Price List of paid educational services of MUA.
