On the workshop on the creation of an interdepartmental science cluster
JSC “National Holding “QazBioPharm” organized and held a seminar on “Interdepartmental scientific cluster as a basis for the creation of knowledge-intensive products” within the framework of the state task “Ensuring biological safety in the field of health care”. The event was held in KazNU named after Al-Farabi.
The event was attended by: Chairman of the Board of Directors of JSC “National Holding “QazBioPharm” Berdibek Saparbayev, a member of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Akmaral Alnazarova, a member of the Committee on Social and Cultural Development of the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Guldara Nurumova, Chairman of the Board – Rector of KazNU named after Al-Farabi Zhanseit Tuimebaev, Chairman of the Committee on Sanitary and Epidemiological Control of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nurkan Sadvakasov, Chairman of the Committee of Science of the Ministry of Science D. Asfendiyarov Marat Shoranov, consultant of WHO country office in Kazakhstan Yerbol Spataev, director of the branch of the National Institute of Intellectual Property Zaure Orynbekova, Deputy Chairman of the Board – Rector of the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University Primkul Ibragimov, Chairman of the Board of JSC “Science Fund” Abdilda Shamenov.
Representatives of RSE on PCV “National Scientific Center of Phthisiopulmonology of RK”, “ARLAN BIOTECH” LLP, “Scientific Production Enterprise “Antigen” LLP, KazNU named after Al-Farabi and subsidiaries of the Holding also took part in the seminar and made informative reports.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of JSC “National Holding “QazBioPharm” B.M. Saparbayev spoke at the event, thanking the management of Al-Farabi KazNU – the university, “which first paved the way for the development of Kazakh education and science”. In his speech, the Chairman of the Board of Directors spoke about the activities of the Holding, established by order of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan in December 2021.
In the format of online speech to the participants was addressed by the deputy of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan A.Sh. Alnazarova. “Biological safety in modern conditions becomes a separate field of knowledge, combining practice and theory of protection from dangerous biological factors. Development of science, technology and innovation is one of the key moments of increasing the competitiveness of our country and as noted by the Head of State priorities of domestic science should be determined in accordance with international requirements and in general, with the national interests,” – said the deputy.
Chairman of the Board – Rector of Al-Farabi KazNU J.K. Tuimebayev emphasized the importance of studying the issues of biological safety. “Prevention in the field of biological safety includes a set of measures aimed at managing biological risks, prevention and containment of biological”, – emphasized the head of the university.
General Director of JSC “National Holding “QazBioPharm” Kunsulu Daltonovna Zakarya, in her speech noted that economic and socio-cultural development, competitiveness of the state depends primarily on its intellectual potential, development and implementation of advanced technologies. In this aspect, in recent years, close attention has been paid to the development of knowledge-intensive production. Thus, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kasym-Jomart Kemelevich Tokayev noted, “there is still no connection between science and production, while scientific developments and innovations are necessary for the development of domestic production. The work of our scientists should produce quality products or make production more efficient”. In this aspect, the Holding has set specific tasks in terms of ensuring biological security of the country, development of biopharmaceutical science and industry, and meeting the demand for biopharmaceutical products. Realization of the directions set before us is possible only with real interdepartmental cooperation and integrated approach at all stages of introduction of knowledge-intensive technologies into production.
Speeches of the seminar speakers were devoted to the issues of development and prospects of biological safety, creation of interdepartmental scientific cluster in the country, legal aspects of protection of inventions of useful models in the field of biotechnology, commercialization of scientific developments into production, etc.
